Hello everyone and WELCOME BACK!!
It’s been about four months since I last posted, and I apologize for being away so long! I’ve gone through a laundry list of changes since then, but I’m glad to finally get back into things.
Before we get started, I realize there might some new readers. To quickly explain what’s going on here, my name is Hunter and I’ve decided to bake my way through Mary Berry’s Baking Bible. I’ve never tried any of these recipes before, so it’s always… interesting… to see how they turn out! Alrighty, let’s get into it! The biggest change since June is that I moved! Where, you may ask? Kansas! Yep, you heard it right; I left the mountainous Montana behind for the rolling hills and fields of Kansas! That’s a pretty big move, so what brought on this sudden change? A new and exciting job opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. I’m now the Education Specialist at the Topeka Zoo!
This new position allows me to create and carry out presentations on all things animal/environment! Plus, I get to present with live animal ambassadors, which has been really fun! I also lead a middle school EcoClub, help plan day camps for families, kids, and more! I’ve been having a blast learning about and working with new animals, and doing the same with my new coworkers! Everyone has been amazingly kind and patient as I’ve adjusted to life here in the Midwest.
Now, this week I obviously don’t have pictures of something yummy. I wanted to update you all this week, then actually start baking again next week. So, hold onto your hats; I have some awesome (or rather, hopefully, awesome) bakes coming up! I have regular weekends now, so the blogs will be posted on either Saturdays or Sundays. I’ll still be posting on the Instagram when a new blog is up, so make sure to follow it @didibakethat.blog .
